Species Description
The Black-legged Kittiwake, Rissa tridactyla, is a seabird in the Laridae family. It is one of prettiest European gulls. This bird is about 16 inches in length with a wingspan of 35-39 inches. This species inhabits rocky or sandy seashore, open sea, rocky places and cliffs. The Black-legged Kittiwake feeds on small crustaceans and fish. The Kittiwake is able to utilize the sheerest of cliffs to nest. This species disperses all across the North Atlantic.
