Species Description
The purple-tailed imperial pigeon is native to tropic climates like those found in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. The purple-tailed imperial pigeon averages 467 grams and is found in forests of medium density. This species does not migrate and is often kept as pets in its native country, both as juveniles and adults.
