Species Description
The Common Cuckoo is a dove-sized bird which, in Europe, has played a cultural role in serving as a sign that Spring has arrived. In terms of how the Cuckoo reproduce or raise their young, they are brood-parasites. They inhabit the nests of smaller birds and monopolize the food resources for their own young. The Common Cuckoo is a migratory bird that spends its winters in Africa. The Cuckoo spends its springs and summers in Asia or Europe. It inhabits open-land.
